Mayday (television program)

Mayday (also known under the names Dangers in the Sky in France, Air Emergency in the United States or Air Crash landing Investigation in the remainder of the Anglo-Saxon countries) is a televised documentary series produced by Cineflix with the Canada. It was diffused by Discovery Channel Canada and National Geographic Chanel , by M6, France 5 and National Geographic Chanel HD in France. At February 2007, 4 seasons had been produced. Some episodes were produced in 2006 on disasters not implying planes. They were titrated Crash Scene Investigation everywhere safe in Canada.

This documentary series studies the contemporary air crashes while showing what led until the crash landing. Each episode is composed of reconstitutions played by actors, interviews, testimonys and scenes carried out by synthesized images. In certain episodes, one also finds recordings of the cockpit to reconstitute the sequence of the events.

Episodes

At the beginning of 2007,35 episodes were turned and organized in 4 seasons. Ten episodes are in preparation for season 5. Whereas all the other episodes of the series relate to air accidents or incidents, 3 episodes of the season ( Hinton train collision , Express Samina sinking and San Bernardino train disaster ) were on 2 railway catastrophes and a maritime catastrophe

  • the crash landing of the century (on the Catastrophe of Tenerife) in the beginning a 2 hours program, short cut then at an hour for the series Mayday .
