Mayaguana is a island of the archipelago of the the Bahamas located at approximately 100 km in the north of Inagua.

Mayaguana was uninhabited until 1812 when colonists arrived there of the Turkish islands.

Principal agglomeration of the island east Abraham' S Bay in the south. The other villages of the island are Betsy Bay in the east and Pirate' S Well in the North-East.

District

Mayaguana is also the name of a district of the Bahamas. It carries number 19 on the chart of the districts.
