A May West is a small circular cake, filled of Crème pâtissière, manufactured with the Canada by the firm Vachon, Inc., a division of the group Saputo.
The name of the cake, identical in an original manner to that of the film star who would have inspired it, was changed for his current epellation with the current of the years 1980. The cake was at the origin filled of English Crème, but now contains a trimming similar to that found in famous the American Twinkie.
