  • 1879 . Spain: Inauguration of the section Lerida - Juneda of the railroad of Montblanch with Vimbodi (Compañia LED ferrocarril of Lerida has Reus there Tarragona)

XXe century

  • 1977 . France - Turkey: with Paris-Lyon with 23:56, last regular departure for Istambul of Direct East-Marmara Express train (last misadventure of famous transcontinental the the East Express train).

XXIe century

  • 2006 . France: a truck and a train Transilien entered in collision on the level crossing of Herblay, on the line of Paris to Mantes by Conflans. The trailer was projected on the shock in the garden of a close dwelling, involving the pulling up of the Caténaire and the derailment of BB 17023. The driver of the heavy truck would not have respected the Highway code. The traffic was stopped during 24 hours, time to repair the damage.

Death

  • 1907 : died of the British engineer Benjamin Baker. It completed the construction from the Victoria station in London, designed the bridge on Forth, and took part in the construction of the Métro of London
