The Maxwell (symbol MX ) is the unit “electromagnetic” CGS with three dimensions of flow of magnetic induction.

Maxwell, named in the honor of James Clerk Maxwell, cannot be strictly compared with the corresponding unit of the international Système (IF), the weber, because IF is with four dimensions when one limits oneself to the mechanical magnitudes and electric. However, Maxwell corresponds to 10^-8 Wb.
