Maximilien de Bade

Maximilien de Bade married the September 23rd 1966 the Valerie archduchess of Habsbourg-Tuscany (1941-), (girl of Hubert of Habsbourg-Tuscany).

Four children were born from this union:

  • Marie Louise de Bade (1969 -), in 1999 it married Richar Baker (1936 -) (posterity)

  • Bernard de Bade (1970 -), crown prince to the Grand Duchy of Bade, in 2001 it married Stéphanie Kaul (posterity)

  • Léopold de Bade (1971 -)

  • Michel de Bade (1976 -)

By his mother he is the nephew of the prince Philippe of Greece (husband of Elisabeth II of the United Kingdom).

Maximilien de Bade is the current chief of the Maison of Bade, it is downward of Berchtillon d' Ortenau and Brisgau.

Maximilien de Bade belongs to the fourth branch of the ducal House of Bade, itself resulting from the first branch of the House of the Grand-Duchy of Bade. It belongs to the line of Bade-Durlach known as line Ernestine founded by Ernest de Bade-Durlach.
