Maximilien-Emmanuel of Bavaria was born with Munich the July 11th 1662 and died in this same city the February 26th 1726.

It was voter of Bavaria and governor of the Spanish Netherlands of 1692 with 1706.

It is under its government that Brussels was besieged and bombarded by the marshal of Villeroy (1695). The voter took a considerable share with rebuilding works of the city and in the construction of the Théâtre of the Currency by Gio Paolo Bombarda.

Valorous captain, it illustrated himself in front of Vienna against the Turks, during the Bataille of Kahlenberg. During the War of succession of Spain, it was combined with the France, perhaps because of the rumor which showed Vienna of the poisoning of his/her son, chosen by Charles II of Spain like successor. It gained the first battles of Höchstädt against the imperial ones of the count de Stirum, before being overcome by the duke of Marlborough to Ulm and by the prince Eugene in Höchstädt.
