History
Origin
In 989, one identifies Bazoge-Montpinçon with the “ Villa Basilgeacum ” a city given by Robert of Blois to the Abbaye of Evron. “ Ecciesia de Bazogla Montepinsonis ” in 1125, Parrochia de Monte Picsonis in 1252, in 1503, the village takes the name of Basouge de Montpinczon, or Montpinçzon in 1503. The parish of Bazoche-Montpinçon, not far from Mayenne bore one moment (at least at the beginning of 17th S.) the name of " Small-Bazoche " : " the Smallone of Montpinson " (1601, Cab. Leblanc), " Of Square Bazochiis-soubs-Montpinçon " (1609, Insinuations eccl.). It is still called Montpuçon in 1715, the parish seems to have adopted its current name, in 1789. Montpinçon is the name of its most important stronghold which had rights of use in the moor of Chauvry.
Feudality
In 1125, during the reign of Hildebert, the church of Bazoge Montpinçon was thus a dependence of the Abbaye of Evron. Thereafter, it was to cease being it but the monks preserved still a long time rights in Bazoge and, in 1474, they always gave to lease, with very long run, the smallholding of Martinaie. In 1408, Brisegaud of Arglantiers received his/her mother, Jeanne Voyer, “ the stronghold and féage of Montpinçon ” which could preserve its manor of XVIe century. The field was probably sold by Christophe of Arglantiers with Sebastien Roland, sior of Beauchêne, in 1552. The ground of Beauchêne, a considerable ground of the parish, seems in the beginning, to be had by a family of this name. With the stronghold of the Charts of Moulay and that of Beauchêne, Montpinçon was allocated to Louis de Champagne, lord of the Court of Commer, in 1635, but the lord of Bourgon feudally withdrew it in 1643. In 1669, “ the ground and seigniory ” belonged to Madeleine de Souvré, lady of Bourgon, and with Urbain Térard, sior of Pérouseau. The lord of Bourgon still had the seigniory in 1723, although to this date, all the instruments gave to Mazarin, Duc of Mayenne, the title of lord founder of the parish (1696, 1700 and 1777).
With the wire of its history, the village undergoes, the February 16th 1616 and the January 19th 1618, the will of the “ people of war ” which prevented any act of culture. She remembers that in 1618 snow remained on the ground during seven weeks. In addition to the general wishes, the Registers of grievances of 1789 required “ that one does not make work with the main roads during the sowing and harvest not to oblige the farmers to pay the servants too expensive”.
Louis Riballier, cleaned this parish of 1685 to 1720, made remake the bell-tower, work recalled by an inscription on lead of 1698.
