Maxim Afinogenov
Maxim Sergeïevitch Afinogenov (in Russian МаксимСергеевичАфиногенов, Maksim Sergejevič Afinogenov , /ˈmæk.sim.ə.ˈfin.ə.ˈgɛn.ɑv/ , born the September 4th 1979 with Moscow in the USSR, today in Russia) is a professional Russian player of Hockey evolving/moving with the Sabers of Buffalo of the National league of hockey.
Career
Afinogenov was one of the attackers high-speed motorboats of the Russian team of the Dynamo Moscow in Superliga during four seasons, in particular at the time of the season 1998-99 when the team reached the finale of the championship, that it lost against the Metallurg Magnitogorsk. Afinogenov, with 16 points in 16 matches, was the best meter of the eliminatory series and was named in the team-type of the season.It was chosen by the Sabers of Buffalo to the 69e position at the time of the Repêchage of entry in the LNH 1997. During the season 1999-00, it played 15 matches for the club school of Buffalo, the Rochester Americans of the American Ligue of hockey (LAH) and made its beginnings in the LNH with the Sabers. At the beginning of the season 2002-03, it suffered from a commotion which enabled him to play only 35 parts. It recorded its first Coup of the hat the December 31st 2003 with the HSBC Arena. Its best season to date was the season 2005-06 where it registered 22 goals and 51 assistances for 73 points.
During the '' lockout '', it turned over to play for the Moscow Dynamo, with which it gained the championship.
It belonged to the Russian team which gained the bronze medal with the Winter Olympics of 2002 with Salt Lake City and which finished 4th with the Winter Olympics of 2006 with Turin.
Afinogenov is known for its speed and its ability to make make errors with the unfavourable defenders.
