The maxillopodes ( Maxillopoda ) are pancrustacés characterized by a reduction of the Abdomen and Appendice S. the groups which include/understand the most species are those of the Bernacle S and the the Copepoda.

This class of Crustacé S includes/understands several subclasses:

  • Branchiura Thorell, 1864
  • Copepoda Milne-Edwards, 1840 - Copépode S
  • Mystacocarida Pennak & Zinn, 1943
  • Pentastomida Diesing, 1836 - Pentastome S
  • Tantulocarida Boxshall & Lincoln, 1983
  • Thecostraca Gruvel, 1905 -- (Barnacles, Goose barnacle…)
