Maxclatl
Maxclatl is the son of the sovereign of the Tépanèques Tezozomochtli 1367/1426 and its successor.
It seems that its role is growing at the time of the last years of the long reign of his/her father, especially after the assassination of his/her brother and heir apparent to Tezozomochtli, Tayauh . It adopts with respect to the Aztèques a policy more aggressive than that of his father, by weighing down the taken tributes, and imprisons in 1426 the sovereign of the latter, Chimalpopoca which commits suicide in 1427. At this point in time under the direction of Itzcoatl, and its nephew and principal adviser Tlacaelel, the Aztèques found alliance between the three city of Tenochtitlan, Tacuba and of Texcoco at the origin of Aztec military successes.
As of 1428 Maxclatl is overcome. In 1430 its capital Azcapotzalco is taken and destroyed, itself is killed.
