max Richter is a Musicien and German Compositeur of classical music and contemporary electronics, born in 1966 which currently lives in England.

Biography

Max Richter studied the composition and the piano with the Université of Edinburgh, the Royal Academy off Music and with Luciano Berio with Florence. Its music is mainly influenced by that of Xenakis.

After its studies, Richter has Co-founded the unit Piano Circus in 1989 where it remained during ten years, interpreting inter alia works of Arvo Pärt, Brian Eno, Philip Glass, Julia Wolfe and Steve Reich. During its presence, the unit left five discs on the label Decca.

In 1996, it in particular worked with Future Sound off London on their album Dead Cities . Initially envisaged as a pianist, he finally worked on several tracks and in Co-writing one has (titrated max ). He also collaborated during two years on their following album, The Isness , as a mixor, Co-producer and Co-writer of several tracks. He also worked with Roni Size on the album In The Mode .

Since 2004, max Richter occurs regularly in concert and works on film musics. In October 2006, it leaves its third album on the FatCat label.
