max Noether , born the September 24th 1844 with Mannheim and dead the December 13rd 1921 with Erlangen, was a German Mathématicien .

Born commercial parents, it had a schooling disturbed by the Poliomyélite but passed nevertheless its doctorate in 1868 to Heidelberg. Professor at the university of Erlangen, it had four children of which Emmy, one of the largest mathematicians of the 20th century.
