Max Decugis
Maxime Omer Décugis , known as max Decugis , born the September 24th 1882 with Paris and deceased the September 6th 1978, was a player of Tennis French.
48 times champion of France, it gain 29 times the international tournament of France (future Tournoi of Roland-Garros):
- 8 times as simple Sirs: 1903, 1904, 1907, 1908, 1909, 1912, 1913 and 1914 (4 finales lost in 1902, 1906, 1920 and 1923).
- 14 times as double Sirs: 1902, 1903, 1904, 1905, 1906, 1907, 1908, 1909, 1910, 1911, 1912, 1913, 1914 and 1920.
- and 7 times in mixed double: 1904, 1905, 1906, 1908, 1909, 1914 and 1920.
He is essential also on the Olympic Games in 1920, removing the gold of the mixed double with Suzanne Lenglen. He also gains a money medal in double with Garmendia in 1900 and a bronze medal in double with André Gobert in 1920.
