Max Brito

max Brito , born the April 8th 1971 with Abidjan, is old a rugby player of the Ivory Coast, paralyzed following a wound received during the world cup of 1995 in South Africa against the Tonga.

Wound

The match (between the Ivory Coast and the Tonga) has been started for three minutes when Brito, outgoing of its defense, is taclé by Inoke Afeaki before several players do not fall to him above, leaving it without knowledge on the ground. Brito is taken along in urgency to the Unitas hospital of Pretoria where l´équipe medical notes serious damage with the Vertèbre S. It undergoes several operations of the fourth and fifth vertebrae, but remains paralyzed under the nape of the neck.
