Maverick Records

History

This recording company was rested by Guy Oseary, Madonna, Frederick DeMann, Ronnie Dashev and Warner Bros. Records in 1992. After having signed some artists who had a mitigated success (Deftones, Me' Shell Ndegeocello), Guy Oseary fell on Alanis Morissette which was signed and its third album appeared in 1995. Success was instantaneous and the artist enriches the company largely. Divergences appeared between Madonna and its manager in the middle of the Années 1990 and it separates his competences of Frederick DeMann and Warner Bros. Records repurchased the shares of this last. Success was done less for the subsequent albums of Alanis Morissette and Madonna became again the cash cow of Maverick at the end of the Années 1990 and at the beginning of the Années 2000.

In March 2004, Madonna and Ronnie Dashev continued Warner Music Group for bad management of the company resulting from a net loss of several million dollars. The company was avenged by depositing a continuation supporting the same allegations. An agreement intervened and the totality of the actions that Madonna and Mr. Dashev held was resold at Warner Music Group. The label thus was remelted at same the head office the same year. In corollary, Madonna, always under contract at Warner Music Group, ceased being produced under the label which it had contributed itself to set up.

The significance of the name Maverick comes from the name of the two more important founders MY gave VE ronica and frede' RICK' DeMann

She always includes/understands a stable of ten known and less known artists like Alanis Morissette, MUSE, Deftones, The Prodigy, Lillix, Story off the Year, Michelle Branch, Paul Oakenfold, William Orbit, etc
