Maussane-les-Alpilles is a common French, located in the department of the Rhone delta and the area Provence-Alp-Coast of Azure

Geography

History

Maussane was set up Paroisse by distraction of the Beam-of-Provence in 1764.

Maussane knew one very violent revolutionary era. Armed troops favorable to the Revolution sow terror and assassinate middle-class and suspect. In March 1793, the mayor of the Beam-of-Provence is assassinated. In reprisals, five suspects are summarily hung with the district of Escampadou, in Maussane.

Administration

The current mayor of Maussane is Jack Sautel, elected in 1989.
