History of the group
The first store was created with Bienne by Ernest and Henri Maus (a Mercerie) before s´allier with Leon Nordmann in 1902 to open their first Supermarché with Lucerne called Warenhaus Leon Nordmann .
In 1929, Robert Nordmann (wire of Leon) wife Simone Maus (the girl of Ernest). Associated with André Maus (the son of Henri) they create a network of department stores, of which the Rheinbrücke with Basle, the Placette with Lausanne then with Geneva then, in 1974, the first hypermarket Jumbo with Dietlikon
In the Years 1980, Maus Frères extends its Restaurant S outside the department stores with the chain Manor and continues its diversifications in 1985 with the opening of the first City-Disc. At the beginning of the Years 1990, the group is centred on Switzerland by restructuring the group Manor and while opening, in 1994 the first stores electroPlus and Jeans & Co , then, in 1995, the first store Athleticum. January 1st, 2001, the s´allie group with the French group Crossroads.
