Mauro Maur is a traditional Trompettiste and Italian Compositeur , born the August 8th 1958 with Trieste. Biography

Being itself graduate very young with Trieste, Mauro Maur gains as of 1975 the Contest of admission to the Conservatoire Higher National of Paris which enables him to improve near the Master Pierre Thibaud. Whereas it is still student with the Academy, it gains the hearing of first trumpet solo to the National orchestra of Capitole of Toulouse (directed by Michel Plasson) with which it will carry out rounds with the the United States, with the Canada, in Austria, Germany and Italy. It is in France, at the 18 years age, which it starts to be asked as soloist near famous Organistes, of chamber orchestras and with being present in the most important festivals. It also supplements an academic cycle with the Northwestern University of Chicago with A. Herseth, V. Cichowicz and A. Jacobs.

Gold medal with the International Contest of Toulon in 1981, First Price unanimously with the Contest of the Higher National Academy of Paris in 1982, it also gained the contests of Lille in France and of the Theater of the Opera of Rome, the Théâtre San Carlo of Naples and of the National Academy of Santa Cecilia in Italy. He moreover played in the most famous concert halls in the world as a soloist: Carnegie Hall of New York, Lincoln Center of New York, Hollywood Bowl of Los Angeles, Boston Symphony Hall, Semperoper of Dresden, Hercules Room of Munich, Großes Festspielhaus of Salzburg, Megaron of Athens, Seoul Arts Center, Suntory Hall of Tokyo, Festspielhaus of Vienna, Room Pleyel of Paris, Nuovo Auditorium of Santa Cecilia in Rome, Teatro Fenice of Venice, Scala of Milan, interpreting, accompanied by Solisti Veneti de Claudio Scimone, Concertos of Tartini, Albinoni, Haydn, Hummel, Telemann, Morricone, Piccioni, Rota, Jolivet.

Moreover, large type-setters dedicated their works to Mauro Maur: Morricone, Theodorakis, Bussotti, Clementi and Vlad to quote only these. As regards the music for the cinema and television, Mauro Maur is present in more than 100 Films of which the original soundtracks were composed by Morricone, Piovani, Ortolani, Goldsmith and Delerue.
