Maurice the Abbot
Maurice the Abbot is a Professor of Mathématiques Québécois born with Ottawa in 1920 and deceased the July 21st 2006. Researcher during the years 1950, he becomes the director of the mathematical department of the Université of Montreal in 1957. Having founded the research center mathematics of the university, it leaves its station in 1980 to occupy the direction of the Conseil of sciences of Canada, then Conseil of science and technology of Quebec. Father of four children, he was the husband of France.
