Jean-François-Maurice-Arnauld , baron Dudevant , known as Maurice Sand , born the June 30th 1823 with Paris and dead the September 4th 1889 with Nohant-Vic, is a Dessinateur and author French.
Wire of George Sand of which it adopted the Pseudonyme, Maurice Sand touched with several fields, of which the Dessin and the Peinture, the Littérature as well as the Géologie and the Biologie.
He was the pupil of Delacroix. Also author of novels, it is especially known for the monumental study which it wrote on the Commedia dell' arte: Masks and buffoons (Italian comedy) (1860).
