Maurice Rajsfus is a Historien and a Militant French, born the April 9th 1928 with Aubervilliers (Seine-Saint-Denis), author of about thirty books. Among the topics which it approached: the Shoah in France, the police force and breaches of liberty.
In 1994, it cofondé the Observatory of public freedoms, which it chairs.
Maurice Rajsfus is the son of parents Juif S Polish made to France at the beginning of the year 1920. They were married by the mayor of Aubervilliers, Pierre Laval, “then still pacifist lawyer”.
In July 1942, it is stopped with his parents at the time of the Rafle of the Cycle-racing track of Winter by a police officer “a time close to stage (...) When, in 1988, Rajsfus tries to approach it (“to include/understand”), the pensioner gets rid of it of brutal: “That does not interest me! ” It did not cease since incarnating this “police force of Vichy to last too present, without remorse and memory” (Pierre Marcelle). Maurice Rajsfus, who is then 14 years old, is slackened following an order excluding the Jews from 14 to 16 years of the raid. His/her parents will not return.
He was “Jeune Communist at 16 years, excluded to 18 for “hitlero-trotskism”, militant of the IVe Internationale before 1950, then group Socialisme or Cruelty with Lefort and Castoriadis, mobilizing the movement of the Inns of youth against the Guerre of Algeria since 1955 and chair Ras the Face of 1991 to 1999” (Pierre Marcelle).
One year after, on April 6th 1993, the young person Makomé Me Bowolé was killed out of “a ball in the head with touching end whereas he was questioned, handcuffed, with the police station of the Great Careers” (18th district of Paris), Maurice Rajsfus cofonde the Observatory of public freedoms, which notes in its monthly bulletin That made the police force? , the police burs.
For him, the bond between last and present is constant, in particular in the monitoring of the police force: “They flew the years of life to my parents. All took part in the Rafle S when they were necessary. Practically not only one did not resign. If the French police force had not been put at the orders, never there would not have been as many damage. There were 250.000 deportees of France, including 76.000 Jews, others being, essentially, of the Communists and the gaullists… And that to say of this police officer who, returning account with the prefecture of his mission, dares to write, on July 22nd: " Vél' of Hiv' is evacuated. There remained 50 sick Jews and from the lost objects, the whole was transferred to Drancy." ”
Having had only the certificate of studies a long time, since it left the college at 14 years, Maurice Rajsfus however passed a doctorate in Sociologie in 1992.
