Maurice Herzog , born with Lyon the January 15th 1919, is a Alpiniste and a Politician French.

Biography

Maurice Herzog was in the French Résistance at the time of the Second world war. Following the example Roger Clipping-Rock, it will defend France in the the Alps.

Maurice Herzog was the first to be climbed with Louis Lachenal and a forwarding made up of Gaston Rébuffat, Lionel Terray, Marcel Ichac, Jean Couzy, Marcel Schatz, Jacques Oudot (doctor) and Francis de Noyelle (liaison officer), a top of more than 8.000 meters, the Annapurna, the June 3rd 1950. He lives today with Neuilly on the Seine.
