Maurice Godefroy of the Tower of Auvergne
Biography
Maurice Godefroy of the Tower of Auvergne (1641 - 1721). He is the son of Frederic Maurice of the Tower of Auvergne-Bubble. Great chamberlain of France.
Nephew of Turenne and Duke of Bubble, he was the husband of Marie Anne Mancini, niece of Jules Mazarin.
Ten children were born from this union, of which:
- Louis-Charles of the Tower of Auvergne (1665-1692). He marries Anne Genevieve de Lévis, girl of Charlotte of Mothe-Houdancourt
- Emmanuel-Théodose of the Tower of Auvergne, duke of Bubble (1668 - 1730)
- Frederic-Jules (1672 - 1733), knight of Bubble, then prince d' Auvergne
- Louis Henri of the Tower of Auvergne, (1679 - 1753), Count d' Évreux, general lieutenant of the armies of the king, he married the girl of the financier Antoine Crozat and made build the hotel of Évreux, today Elys3ee palace.
- Louis-Julie of the Tower of Auvergne (1679 - 1750), it married François-Armand de Rohan, duke of Montbazon
