Maurice Fombeure (September 22nd 1906 - January 1st 1981) was a French writer and poet.

Resulting from a family of farmers of Poitou (Jardres in Vienna, close to Poitiers), it made its studies with the college then at the Teacher training school of Poitiers. Continuing its studies with the National university of Saint-Cloud, there was then professor of letters in Parisian colleges, but remained always very attached to its native area. Very active in the literary circles of the capital, it obtained the Grand Prix of poetry of the Town of Paris in 1958.
