Maurice Feltin

Maurice Feltin (born on May 15th, 1883 with Delle in the Territory of Belfort; deceased on September 27th, 1975 with Thiais) was archbishop of Bordeaux, then of Paris, and cardinal.

Biography

Maurice Feltin is pupil with the seminar of Saint-Sulpice of Paris and is ordered priest the July 3rd 1909. Until 1927, it exerts in the diocese of Besancon. During the First World War, it is useful as officer in the army and receives many military decorations. In 1927, Pie {{XI}} appoints it bishop of Troyes; in 1932 he becomes archbishop of Sens, in 1935 archbishop of Bordeaux and in 1949 archbishop of Paris. Magpie the high one with the cardinalat in 1953 as cardinal-priest attached to the church Santa Maria della Pace.

He dies the September 27th 1975 in Thiais, close to Paris and is buried in the Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris.
