Maurice Faure , born the January 2nd 1922 with Azerat in the Dordogne, is old a Résistant and Politician French.
Biography
Qualified schoolteacher of history and geography, doctor in right, it starts by teaching with the Institut of political studies of Toulouse.In 1947, it integrates the cabinet of the Ministre for State education Yvon Delbos, then those of Maurice Bourges-Maunoury.
Elected official Appointed radical socialist of the Batch of 1951 with 1958, he is member of the center groups democratic Entente and democratic Gathering, then appointed Fédération of the democratic and socialist left and “Socialist and radical left” of 1958 with 1983.
In the capacity as secretary of foreign affairs of the Strong Felix Government, it Co-sign the March 25th 1957 with its partial trusteeship, Christian Pineau, the treaty establishing the European Community said the Treaty of Rome, of which he is the last alive witness.
Twice, he is president of the party radical socialist of 1961 with 1965 and of 1969 with 1971. He supports Jean Lecanuet candidate with the presidential election of 1965.
After having been Mayor of Prayssac during twelve years, he is elected mayor of Cahors in 1965, mandate which he will preserve twenty-five years.
Member of the parliamentary Parliament of the European Communities then the European Parliament of 1979 with 1981, he is senator democratic Gauche of 1983 with 1988.
Minister of state, Minister for the Equipment and the Housing of Michel Rocard in 1988, it leaves the government one year, named afterwards by François Mitterrand with the Constitutional council.
In 2007, it is named president of the committee of honor of the 50e birthday of the the Treaty of Rome.
