Maurice Duhamel , of his true name Maurice Bourgeaux, (1884 - 1940), musician, Breton federalist

Origin

Political activity

In 1912, it leaves the Breton regionalistic Union (URB) with Emile Masson, Camille the Draper of Erm, François Vallée and Loeiz Herrieu to create the regionalistic Fédération of Brittany which does not survive the First World War. It is done then, by Antimilitarisme, to reform for its small size.

In 1926, it meets Olier Mordrel and Morvan Marchal which quickly brings it in the management committee of the Parti Breton separatist creates in 1927. It gives to this party an orientation of left and federalist. But, part of the PAB is attracted by separatism and with sympathy to the Nazi party, which presents like a social party .

He dies of a cancer in 1940, without to have been able to carry out the 2nd volume of sound Histoire of the Breton people , for the period located after 1532.
