Maurice Dousset
Maurice Dousset , born with Lutz-in-Dunois (Eure-et-Loir) on February 26th, 1930 and deceased with Paris on October 20th, 2007, is a French politician.
Member of the Republican party and the UDF, Maurice Dousset was one of the center personalities most influential of Eure-et-Loir and of the area Center, of which he was the president of 1985 to 1998.
Biography
Appointed of 1973 to 1997 and chair district council of 1985 to 1998, its political course broke on the project of 3rd international airport of the Paris and its suburbs, of which he was a burning defender of the establishment in Eure-et-Loir on the site of the commune of Beauvilliers.
Beaten by the green candidate Marie-Helene Aubert with the legislative elections of 1997, it is not represented with the regional elections of 1998. It is at the time under the blow of a setting in examination due to creation, without legal base, of funds financing the retirements of the agents of the district council of the Center via an association whose it took the presidency. Condemned for Management in fact, the funds was not however at all a funding source political or used at personal ends. It will support at the time of these elections Renaud Donnedieu de Vabres, candidate of majority RPR/UDF and will be opposed publicly, with right alliance FN which will carry for a few days Bernard Harang to the presidency of the district council.
With the head of the district council, it made in particular team with the senator gaullist Paul Masson and followed an ambitious policy as regards regional rail-bound transports (for which the Center area was one of the first to be positioned for the experimentation of the organization of the network instead of the State) and of town and country planning, through the regional contracts of local initiative which were the precursors of the contractual policy of the country which spread in France in the middle of the years 1990. Under its impulse, the Area also carried out an important investment plan to renovate the colleges and to build the new ones.
At the departmental level, Maurice Dousset was had a presentiment of to take the head of the general advice of Eure-et-Loir in 1986. Martial Taugourdeau, appointed RPR of the department was finally elected with the support of general advisers members of the UDF.
Farmer in love with the Beauce, Maurice Dousset was the initiator in 1990 of association Grounds of Beauce which was used as a basis legal for creation of the Maison of Beauce to Orgères in 1995. This place intends to develop the inheritance, the traditional culture and the landscapes will beaucerons, in particular through the agricultural vocation of this natural area.
Several political personalities are claimed of its political heritage, among which Renaud Donnedieu de Vabres (former minister and former deputy of Indre-et-Loire), Philippe Vigier (appointed Eure-et-Loir), Joel Billard (senator d' Eure-et-Loir) and Albéric de Montgolfier (president of the general advice of Eure-et-Loir).
