Maurice Coyaud

Maurice Coyaud , born on June 7th 1934 with Hanoï (Vietnam), is a Linguiste French, specialist in the languages and cultures of the East Asia.

He is specialist in the Russian , of the Mandarin, the Mongolian , the Burmese , the Tagalog, the Korean and the Japanese.

Maurice Coyaud is research director with CNRS since 1973 and person in charge of editions P.A.F. (For the Analysis of the Folklore). It published many tests, novels, anthologies, translations. It was in charge of general inspection of Chinese of 1979 to 1998.

He in particular taught four years at the school Polytechnique where he created the teaching of Japanese, with the INALCO (Chinese Prof in 1979-80) at the universities Paris-III, Paris-V, Paris-VIi, Paris-X (Prof of linguistics) and with EHESS.
