Maurice Baumont

Edmond Marie Maurice Baumont , born with Lunéville the February 26th 1892 and died in Paris the June 12th 1981, is a French historian, specialist in the Histoire of Germany and France at time the Third Republic.

Normalien, aggregate of history and geography, he is professor with the Conservatoire national of arts and trades of Paris and with the Institut of high international studies of Geneva. He is member of the secretariat of the Société of the Nations of 1919 with 1939. He is director, with Pierre Renouvin, of the Commission of publication of the document concerning at the origins of the war 1939-1945. He is elected member of the Academy of Science morals and political in 1957.
