Maturity

the maturity is the stage in which an organization is which reached its full development . The associated adjective is ripe .

This concept applies as much to a simple organization as complex, for example it is considered that a fruit which is ripe reached maturity. One understands by full development the stage which, making following a normal evolution and supplements, mark the passage to the following phase where the organization underwent some metamorphosis or marked transformation, for example the passage of the Adolescence to the life Adulte at the man. Once to the more high level of its evolution, the organization which reached maturity will possibly enter the phase of decline or senescence. The decline is the stage to which the organization loses definitively in Complexité, in Organization, of sensitivity or in force. For an organization of the complexity of the man, it is easier to delimit maturity on the physical level than on the plans emotive or of the Intellect. One can think of Albert Einstein which has put-with-point the general theory of relativity at the 37 years age or Mozart which composed the Requiem in minor D at the 35 years age or with Beethoven with its 9th Symphony that it composed at the 54 years age whereas it was completely deaf.

One can thus say that one does not know in advance, at a complex organization, at which time it will have reached ultimate maturity, before to have noted his decline…

Agriculture : maturity is a very relative concept: the majority of the animals raised for the meat are considered to be “ripe” S for the slaughter-house very early, well before their physiological maturity. It is less true for the animals raised for milk or eggs.

Forests , natural environments or cultivated: In nature, various processions of plant species and animal tend to follow one another before reaching a stage overall more stable. Thus, when the forest gains on an opened medium, gasolines pionnières settle very quickly, and are gradually replaced by the gasolines of the climaxes, longévives and constituting the phase of maturity of the forest. It is often a natural disturbance which puts an end at this stage.
Hormis in the artificial mediums (artificial timbering of regular grove type or simple, monospecific coppice and of the same age group), the stages of maturity cannot be summarized with the concept of age groups, because this one corresponds to a maturity very different according to the gasoline and the conditions from growth. The classes of diameters are not enough there either, the more so as it is normal that subset of an ecosystem reach a stage of maturity at different times, according to their history. The structure of diameter is an indicator which seems nevertheless more useful, if it is compared so that would be a climatic stage or a production target in the case of sylvicultures.

In forestry, the trees with slow growth (oak in particular) are generally cut well before their maximum age as soon as their speed of growth is reduced.
