Mattt Konture

Mattt (Matthieu) Konture (born the September 27th 1965 in France) is a draftsman and French scenario writer of Cartoon. It is one of the representatives of what is called the “Nouvelle cartoon”. It is one of the founders of Association. In 2006, he lives with Montpellier.

He makes to his beginnings starting from 1984 in the magazines the Lynx , Viper , Psikopat , Nerf and Sponge . In 1985, it publishes Ruga Zébo Violent in the collection “Spidery scrawl”, then Glofluné Triblonto in 1990. At that time, he also works on Krokodile Comix , Miettes of pocket and Galopu . Its productions for these magazines will be published thereafter in Printemps, Autommes (Association, 1993). Association also published its books Ivan Morve and Krokrodile Comix . In addition, Chacal Puant (today United Dead Artists ) published 4 numbers of sound comix the Ham Armor-plated .

Let us note that it is at the origin of the collection “comix” of Association, Mimolette. He is finally the author of Car-psychiatrist of a death living which always appears in the form of comix with Association.

He finds his inspiration graphic in the underground middle of the Sixties and Seventies. Its boards can point out the work of Robert Crumb or Marc Caro.

From 1999, it illustrates the articles of the review Passerelle Eco , dedicated to ecology with the daily newspaper. This new inspiration leads to the publication in 2005 of the data base Galopu saves the Earth , where one finds Galopu, hero of the precedents comix underground. All color, this data base is addressed to the general public. It remains however resolutely alternate…

In the collection Mimolette of Association, it produces an autobiography in the form of data base (the last works appeared in the series: Multiple sclerosis).
