Matt Laurent

Matt Laurent was born the May 24th 1967 with Montreal. As of its more young age, Matt grows in a artistic medium. Indeed, his/her father as his large father were both musicians. It is only with its thirteenth birthday that it will obtain its first Guitare. Consequently, it knows already that it wants to earn its living with the Musique. Thus Matt launches out in several small contracts.

In 1992, whereas Matt was only 25 years old, it records with dimensions Warner Music its first album entitled Between the day and the night , then the following year, a new album entitled Accoustique where it will take again five titles of its preceding album in accoustic version. Unfortunately, success is not really with go, and this is why Matt will leave Warner. It is only in 1997 that Matt records its third album solo, Long Avenue , which will not meet a great success him either.

November 1998, is one year after the exit of Long Avenue , Matt becomes the lining of Garou and threads the costume of Quasimodo in the musical comedy Notre Dame de Paris , in which it will make 265 representations until in 2001, great year for Matt since she also marks the exit of its fourth album (and latest to date), Ici Or Elsewhere . Moreover, the first extract of this album I Want That You Know is also the first to cross the Québécois borders and with being diffused on the French waves.

In 2002, Matt returns on scene, this time in the role of Benvolio for the musical comedy Romeo and Juliette (Québécois version ). 2003, it takes this time the role of the geographer in the musical comedy the Small Prince , before taking again in 2005 the costume of Quasimodo for a round in many countries of Asia. In 2006, while continuing Notre Dame de Paris, Matt begins a new round for a new musical production: Night Fever .
