Matsya
In the Hindouisme, Matsya is the first misadventure of Vishnou. According to the Shatapatha-brâhmana , in the shape of a small fish found in a river, Matsya called to Manu to build a boat to survive the Flood. Arrived on the shore, Manu did it and Matsya, become a large fish, led it towards grounds emerged in the the Himalayas, with Manali in the valley of Kulu. Humanity survived thus.
In other texts, like the Mahâbhârata, Manu would have been saved with the Rishi and the seed of all that lives on ground, thus bringing closer the history of Manu of that to Noah.
Matsya is also the name of an old kingdom of the the Eastern Rajasthan of Virâtapura capital - current the Bairât to 75 km of Jaipur - which plays a rather important part in Mahâbhârata, because the Pândava remained part of their exile there.
