Matsudaira clan
The clan Matsudaira (松平氏) is a clan of the Japan medieval originating in the Province of Mikawa. It is known to be related to the shoguns Tokugawa since Ieyasu Tokugawa was a member of the Matsudaira clan, it was known under the name of Matsudaira Takechiyo (松平竹千代).

The Matsudaira clan was divided of 14 branches:

- Katanohara (形原)
- Ōgusa (大草)
- Nagasawa (長沢)
- Nōmi (能見)
- Goi (五井)
- Fukōzu (深溝)
- Ogyū (大給)
- Takiwaki (滝脇)
- Fukama (福釜)
- Sakurai (桜井)
- Tōjō (東条)
- Fujii (藤井)
- Mitsugi (三木)
The majority of these branches will provide small Daimyo at the time of the Period Edo
