Matilda Mother
Matilda Mother is a song of the English group Pink Floyd, and is the 3rd song of their first album, The Piper At the Gates off Dawn.
Written by Syd Barrett, of a surrealist prospect, the song is primarily a fairy tale which is read with a child by his mother. The song is sung most of the time by Richard Wright with Syd Barrett uniting with last towards and with the last verse.
The piece starts with an interlude during which the low one, accompanied by the organ, play of the Doubles cords. Roger Waters plays in a repetitive way so on the 16e Hoop of the cord in ground while varying the note of D towards F sharp on the cord in D. The guitar is reached then with agreements around the so minor one. The organ continues with a solo based on a Indian Gamme. Matilda Mother finishes with a blues into semi major on a rate/rhythm of Valse and a vocal accompaniment of Wright and Barrett.
