Mathurin Moreau

Mathurin Moreau , (Dijon, 1822 - Paris, 1912), is a French sculptor of academic style.

Biography

It exposed for the first time to the Living room of 1848 and gains a medal of honor to the Living room of 1897. The essence of its activity will have been official orders which one can see in Paris, close to the Style fireman of the end of the 19th century. Mathurin Moreau was mayor of the 19th district of Paris. Since 1912, an avenue bears its name in this district.

  • Cologne , calcareous stone, 1865, frontage of the station of North.
  • Oceania , pig iron of the series the six continents for the World Fair of 1878, today on the esplanade of the Museum of Orsay.
  • Zenobe Gram , bronzes in feet, court of the Musée of Arts and Métiers in Paris.
  • Monument of Joigneaux , work for which it accepted a medal of honor to the Living room of 1897.
