Mathurin Henrio

Mathurin Henrio , called Barrioz , was a young person French, born the April 16th 1929 with Baud (with the locality Tallen Crann), and killed the February 10th 1944, in Baud also.

14 years old, he refused to indicate to German soldiers the direction where men of the maquis had fled. He was cut down of two balls in the head.

He was Compagnon of the Release on a purely posthumous basis (decree of the November 20th 1944). It is youngest of the 1036 resistant ones to have received this decoration.
