Mathilde of Boulogne
Mathilde of Boulogne (or Mahaut, Maud) (towards 1103, Boulogne - May 3rd 1152), countess of Boulogne of 1125 with was 1151 of swears , and by marriage countess of Mortain, duchess of Normandy and queen consort of England.
It was the girl of Eustace III, count de Boulogne, and of the Marie princess of Scotland, itself girl of Malcolm III of Scotland and Sainte Marguerite of Scotland.
Before 1125, she married Etienne of Blois (about 1096 - 1154), Count de Mortain. The neighborhoods of 1125, it succeeded his/her father like countess of Boulogne. She jointly directed this county with her husband until in 1151, date on which he was transmitted to their son Eustace.
Her husband usurped the throne promised with his cousin Mathilde Emperesse in 1135, and became Duc of Normandy and King d' Angleterre, with died of Henri I {{er}} Beauclerc. It was crowned queen consort of England to the Abbaye of Westminster the March 22nd 1136.
In the civil war which followed, and which lasted all the reign of Etienne, it showed its strong support for her husband. Following the capture of Etienne, with the battles of Lincoln, east took the head of its party, helped by the captain of his mercenaries Guillaume d' Ypres.
Mathilde died in the castle of Hedingham, Essex, and was buried with the abbey of Faversham, Kent.

In 1119, she married Etienne of Blois (about 1096 - 1154), Count de Mortain then King d' Angleterre and Duc of Normandy.They had as children :
- Baudoin of Blois († 1135) ;
- Mahaut of Blois († 1135) ;
- Eustace of Blois (1127 - 1154), count de Boulogne ;
- Guillaume of Blois († 1159), count de Boulogne and of Surrey ;
- Marie of Blois (1131 - 1180), nun, then countess of Boulogne, married of force with Mathieu of Lorraine († 1173).
