Mathieu Ensinger
Mathieu Ensinger or Matthäus Ensinger (born in 1390 with Ulm, died in 1463 with Ulm) was a German prime-contractor having worked on several Gothic cathedrals. He was the son of Ulrich Ensinger.
Under the supervision of his father, it took part as a stone mason in the construction of the northern tower of the Cathédrale of Strasbourg. After the death of Ulrich, it went in 1420 to Bern where it directed until in 1451 work of the cathedral. In 1430, accompanied by his/her son Vincenz, it took again the construction of the tower of the Frauenkirche of Esslingen-amndts-Neckar. In 1446, it was engaged like prime-contractor of the Cathédrale of Ulm.
