Matfred de Clermont

Matfred , fourth wire of Armand Ier, is quoted as Viscount of Auvergne at the time of the donation which Acfred made, count d' Auvergne, with the Monastère of Sauxillanges In 927. It is also quoted in company of his older brothers, Astorge and Armand II, in a charter of the church of Brioude in 962.

It is at the origin of the line of the Viscounts of Thiers.
