Materials treated with the hydraulic binders
The mixtures treated with the hydraulic binders , according to the European terminology, or materials treated with the hydraulic binders , according to the French terminology, are used for the construction and the maintenance of the layers of roadways of the roads, the aerodromes and other aprons. They consist of a mixture of Granulat S and hydraulic Liant.
Components and composition
The treated materials are composed by aggregate mix and one or several hydraulic binder.Aggregates
The aggregates consist of solid particles of the mixture:- of different volume, for example sand and fine gravels,
- of different origin like:
- gravel, crushed rock,
- industrial by-products (slag of blast furnace),
- waste (blast-furnace slags of incineration of household refuse).
Hydraulic binders
Mixtures obtained
The differences in compositions are sometimes limited to a lower hydraulic content while binding. In much of case, requirements on the granularity are prescribed. The sand treated with cement is normally used only in the sub-bases.
Traditional treated materials
Innovating treated materials
Three recent hydraulic material techniques flat can be quoted- the concretes of fraisats, in which part of the granular skeleton makes up of recycled bituminous materials;
- the Materials autocompactants essorables of structure (MACES), kind of fluid and very thin concretes which present at the state hardened mechanical properties close to those of the low registers treated with the hydraulic binders;
- the Fitted carpet of concrete with high efficiencies (BHP), new variation of the continuous Reinforced concrete (VAT) at the era of the Sustainable development.
