Matched in Macross

The Mecha S of Macross are used as arms. They were developed by the human ones starting from the technology discovered on the vessel ESA, in order to be able to fight the creators of this vessel whose dimensions left think that they were giant.

Matched human

The human ones developed two types of matched: Valkyries^M/Varitechs^R which is matched transformable and the destroïdes which are not it.

Valkyrie/Varitechs

Valkyries^M/Varitechs^R ( Veritech ) ¹ is transformable fighter plans, which can take three form:

jet (plane): mode of aerial combat; a metal shield can come to protect canopée (glass of the Cockpit);
battroïde^M/battloïde^R: Robot of 12 m in height;
gerwalk^M/guardian^R: form hybrid, resembling a plane provided with arm and legs (it is about the battroïde^M/battloïde^R mode whose chest was not rectified); this mode allows a takeoff and vertical landing, and is a compromise between the flexibility of combat robotized with the speed of the jet; a directional turret provided with guns can leave lower part the fuselage.

Valkyries^M/Varitechs^R can go in space and have complementary equipment: an armor which can protect them in battroïde^M/battloïde^R mode, and rockets to increase their speed and autonomy in jet mode.

Gerwalk means Ground reinforcement effective off winged armament with locomotive kneeljoint , i.e. literally “reinforcement of the airborne armament by a device articulated for walk in order to increase the effectiveness on the ground”; this mode was initially conceived in order to reduce the unavailability time at the time of the transformation jet/battroïde, but the combined advantages of this mode allured the pilots.

The passage of the jet mode to the gerwalk^M/guardian^R mode is done in the following way:

the engines rock to the bottom and form the legs; they advance to be placed under the center of gravity of the machine;
while advancing, the engines release the arms.

The passage of the gerwalk^M/guardian^R mode to the battroïde^M/battloïde^R mode is done in the following way:

canopée is recovered of a metal shield;
the cockpit rocks for retouver nose to the bottom, while the cockpit remains with the horizontal one;
the directional turret leaves and becomes the head.

Destroïds

The destroïds are matched nontransformable which have forms humanoïdes, the equivalent of Tank with legs and missile launchers at the end of the arms.

Matched zentradiens

Zentradiens use matched made up of an armed spherical cell, without arm, posed on two legs, called Regult. Zentradiens can also cover armours of power, which are self-propelled and pressurized exosquelettes; these armours can fly in space but not in gravity. The armours of the males are called Nousjadeul-Ger, and the armours of Quaedlun-rau^M/Quadrono^R females.
