Matali Crasset
Matali Crasset is a Designer French, born the July 28th 1965 with Châlons-in-Champagne, France.
Matali Crasset was initially directed worms of the studies of marketing. It is following a project of launching of perfume, requiring to draw the bottle and the packaging which she discovers her interest for the design and makes the decision to reorientate herself and to continue its studies with ENSCI of Paris.
In 1992, Matali Crasset collaborates with Denis Santachiara, celebrates originator and Italian designer which integrates in its work new technologies by proposing their poetic potential. It joint in 1993 with Philippe Starck, at the time artistic director of Multi-media Thomson.
1998 are the year when it creates its company “matali crasset production” limited liability company.
In 2001, it carries out its first projects of interior architecture, the advertizing agency Red Cell in Paris, its house-studio in Belleville, then the Hi hotel in Nice (2003) and pigeon in the Nord/Pas-de-Calais Area.
Some of its creations belong to the collections of the Musée of decorative Arts and the MoMA.
