Matabiau

The district Matabiau is located at north east of the downtown area of Toulouse, close to the Canal of the South, its name comes from the occitan Mata buòu is the place where oxen are killed, because with the Moyen-âge, it is here that one cut down the Bœuf S.

Today, the district is related to the Gare Matabiau and represents a cosmopolitan sector like much place close to large Gares, one finds there Japanese restaurants, African, Chinese as well as pubs but also as close to the station of North in Paris, some sex shops.
