Masters of time

the Masters of time is a Cartoon film carried out by Rene Laloux on drawings of Moebius, left in 1981 and inspired by the Romance by Science-fiction the orphan by Perdide by Stefan Wul (science fiction).

Not very known in France, the Masters of time on the other hand was a relative success to the the United States. It is about a Space operated impresses mystery and of poetry.

Transposing to the screen the novel of Wul, Rene Laloux and Moebius amplified the references to the Fairy tale, small Piel lost in the crushing forest of Dolongues becoming a kind of Tom Thumb whose only bond with the life is from now on the microphone, named Mike , which his/her father bequeathed to him. Vis-a-vis him, Jaffar the adventurer, Beautiful the princess and Silbad the old fighter constitute great geniuses which guide it through the forest, whereas prince Mathon, tries to him to drown it…

Synopsis

Whereas it helps a deposed prince and his friend to be fled, Jaffar, fighter of space, receive a desperate message of a former friend: attacked by the Frelons de Perdide, it could not reach the protective forest of Dolongues and begs Jaffar to save his son, small Piel, to which it entrusted its microphone. Jaffar immediately modifies its trajectory to join the child, but that is not appropriate to the prince…
