Masters of Paris-Bercy
The BNP Paribas Masters (ex-Open of Paris until 2002), is a tournament of male Tennis (ATP) which is held each year with the general sports Palais of Paris-Bercy at the beginning of November. Created in 1986, this test forms today part of ATP Masters Series , the nine most important competitions of circuit ATP after the four tournaments of the Grand Slam.
This tournament disputes on fast surface and one can notice that only Andre Agassi managed to register its name with the prize list of the two tournaments of the capital : this one and Roland Garros (disputed on beaten ground). Two players hold the record of the tournament with 3 victories: Boris Becker and Marat Safin.
This tournament, disputed in room thus is exploited a synthetic surface, the taraflex. It should be noted that this tournament constitutes the last major tournament of the season before the Masters Cup, which takes place with Shanghai.
