Massoud Behnoud

Massoud Behnoud مسعودبهنود is a journalist and writer Iran IEN born in 1947 with Teheran.

Described on its site like the leader of Iranian journalism, it based more than 20 newspapers of which none is still published in 2006. Among them the daily newspaper Ayandegan (closed in 1979) the hedbomadaire Tehran-e Mosavvar or the cultural monthly magazine Adineh .

This last, which asserted the Freedom of expression, was closed in 1998 after its editor association Faraj Sarkohi was imprisoned and tortured on several occasions.

Around 1999 it belongs to a list of writers and intellectuals to be assassinated, of which some one actually be. Will follow a journalistic crac , and its imprisonment, at the same time as of many personalities of journalism to Iran like Mashallah Shamsolvaezin, Akbar Ganji, Emadeddin Baqi or Ebrahim Nabavi. These passages in prison (after several releases in bond) will raise the international public opinion of which international Amnesty, Reporter Without Borders or PEN club.
