Massachusetts Institute off Technology
The Massachusetts Institute off Technology ([[French]: Massachusetts Institute of Technology )] is an institution of research and a American Université , specialized in the fields of the Science and the Technologie. Located at Cambridge, in the Massachusetts, in the vicinity immediate of Boston, she is regarded with the 21e century as the best Western university in sciences and technologies.
Description
With the 21e century, MIT is world leader for teaching and research in science and technology, but it is also famous in other fields like the Management, the economy, the Linguistique, the Political sciences and the Philosophie.The course more followed is that of Engineer, with: 2000 students, then that of sciences.
What characterizes MIT is its proximity with the industrial world and its very strong implication in the scientific research and technological, in which the students take part as of their first year of course. In 2002, it is the first university to put the integrality of its courses on line on Internet, the MIT OpenCourseWare .
In 2005,61 members or former members of MIT (teaching bodies and pupils) had received the Nobel Prize.

History
MIT was founded in 1861 by William Barton Rogers, to answer the increasing demand of formation in the technical fields of the industrial development of the United States. Based on the operation of the European institutes, MIT is different quickly by the principle from the training by the practice in laboratory. During the second world war, of share its place of subsidized institute, it takes a position of point in the development of military techniques. Position which will do nothing but increase during the cold war. At the beginning school of architecture, the institute quickly becomes multi-field.
